Intel has just released its newest product with 22nm technology named "Ivy Bridge", which is said to
be faster than the performance of the Sandy Bridge generation of her. But not to be outdone rival AMD to Intel, they also released a new product called AMD Trinity.
Some tech sites have compared the AMD processor for thin laptop "Ultrathin" is the kind offer from Intel, popular called "Ivy Bridge", which is used on thin laptop "Ultrabook".
As reported by PCWorld, the comparison of the two processors for thin laptops it is quite diverse.
Trinity Physical Comparison
Manufacturing Process | Die Size | Transistor Count
AMD Llano | 32nm | 228mm2 | 1.178B
AMD Trinity | 32nm | 246mm2 | 1.303B
Intel Sandy Bridge (4C) | 32nm | 216mm2 | 1.16B
Intel Ivy Bridge (4C) | 22nm | 160mm2 | 1.4B |
In terms of overall performance, it seems that Trinity has not been able to match the Ivy Bridge. As can be seen from the chart below is taken from the site Anandtech.com, AMD's flagship quite far behind, even when compared to Intel's previous champ, "Sandy Bridge".
In the graph, it appears Ivy Bridge (Core i7-3720QM on Asus laptop N56VM) occupied the top position. However, Trinity is still much faster than its predecessor, the AMD A-8 series known as the "Llano".

Trinity shines when used to play the game. In this case, GPU Radeon HD 7000 series is embedded in it managed to beat Intel HD 4000 graphics processors on Ivy Bridge so that the Trinity is able to run the game more smoothly.

Trinity overall about 20 percent faster than Ivy Bridge when it used to play games, based on testing of 15 title game over.
About the battery life, according to Anandtech site, Trinity (A-10 4600M, Quad Core) can survive for nearly 7 hours when used to surf the internet.
The number is pretty good and better than its predecessor, Llano, which records the number 6 hours, and Ivy Bridge (Core i7-3720QM, Quad Core), which posted 5 hours.
So, which one is better? Depending on needs. For those who want maximum performance, thin laptop with Intel Corei7 processor (Ivy Bridge) is unmatched.
However, for fans of the game or those who require a high battery life, thin laptop with AMD processor series A-10 (Trinity) can be an attractive option.
